The Highs and Lows of Motorsport - Team LARR Motorsport

The team are on a high as preparations are nearing conclusion for the next round of the 2024 EnduroKA Series, this time taking on the delights of the sweeping Donington Park Circuit.

Arriving back from round one at Silverstone the team were please with their performance and were running within the top ten, but a last minute pit stop dropped them down the pack leaving them in 14th at the conclusion of five hours and 213 laps in total.

The Highs - Focusing on a Podium

In 2023 Team LARR showed great potential at Donington and with Jordan behind the wheel an epic battle would see him follow right in the shadows of the leading car for some significant time. Towards the end of the race the battle was still in full flow, however with Mike Collinge at the helm and a gripping last few laps with a podium in sight, Mike was clipped at the rear quarter panel resulting in a full 360 spin. By the time he had regained composure the chase began once again and at the finish line the team were rewarded with a very credible fifth position.

This year the team are in good spirits with the knowledge that they can run at the front at Donington and are well prepared for any eventuates with the fantastic back up team of Graeme Norris, Mike Greenhough and James Bannon, and lets not forget our technician in training Jenson Greenhough..!

The Lows - Preying for a Miracle

However, all the highs aside, we must now explain one of our lows and it relates to our intentions to compete in the forthcoming Anglesea 24hr race in July, something all involved wanted to add to their bucket list. Sadly raising the required funds to compete and the significant cost involved has become a challenge we are unable to meet, the combination of a £3500 entry fee, fuel, tyres and consumables we believe the cost to compete would hit the £8,000 mark. It is therefore at this stage we must admit to ourselves that this will not happen unless we can generate further income or a new additional sponsor jump on board in our quest to complete 24hrs with the aim to land on the podium?
